LIFT PLANNER PRO / DESKTOP 2026 Raspberry Pi specification Version 0.1.4 | ARM64 beta | Guide issued 1 October 2026 1 / 3 Hardware and OS requirements, licence scope and release status. ARM64 beta: native CPU tests and CAD-engine self-tests passed under ARM emulation. Physical Raspberry Pi graphics, installation and large-model performance have not yet been verified. This specification is a recommended target, not a hardware certification. Computer Raspberry Pi 5. 16 GB RAM recommended for engineering models. Processor / graphics Pi 5: BCM2712, quad-core 64-bit Cortex-A76 at 2.4 GHz; VideoCore VII GPU. LPP needs working WebGL 2 graphics. Operating system Current Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit) with desktop: Debian 13 Trixie. Official release checked: 15 September 2026. Do not use the 32-bit image or headless Lite image. Storage SSD recommended; 64 GB or larger is a practical starting point. Allow at least 4 GB free for LPP installation, plus OS, downloads and project storage. Power / cooling Quality 5V/5A USB-C supply, such as the official 27W supply. Active cooling and a ventilated Pi 5 case recommended. Display / controls 1920 x 1080 display recommended. App minimum window: 1180 x 760. Keyboard and mouse with scroll wheel. Network Internet for purchase, downloads and package dependencies. Core local desktop modelling works offline after activation-file import. £100 once, including VAT Lifetime use of Desktop 2026 on Linux ARM64, with no recurring desktop licence charge. Future major versions, cloud membership, AI credits and paid online services are separate. Hardware is not included. Existing full Desktop 2026 owners can download this edition using their purchasing account. Keep your personal activation file private. 1. Prepare the Pi For a new Pi, use Raspberry Pi Imager from raspberrypi.com/software/ and select Raspberry Pi 5 with Raspberry Pi OS (64-bit), including the desktop. Flash only the intended storage device: imaging erases it. Complete the first-run setup and connect to the internet. On an existing desktop installation, open Terminal and confirm the architecture: uname -m dpkg --print-architecture Expected results: aarch64 and arm64. An armv7l/armhf result is a 32-bit OS; install the 64-bit desktop OS before using this package. 2. Purchase and download Visit liftplannerpro.co.uk/downloads/raspberry-pi. Sign in and purchase the £100 lifetime licence. After Stripe confirms payment, download both the Linux ARM64 installer and your activation file. Existing full Desktop 2026 owners should sign in rather than purchase again. 3. Verify and install Open a terminal in the folder containing the downloaded .deb (normally Downloads). Compare the SHA-256 output with the value under Installer details on the official download page. Stop and download again if it differs. cd ~/Downloads sha256sum Lift-Planner-Pro-2026-0.1.4-linux-arm64.deb sudo apt update sudo apt install ./Lift-Planner-Pro-2026-0.1.4-linux-arm64.deb Keep the ./ before the filename. APT downloads the required GTK, WebKitGTK, AppIndicator and SVG libraries. Confirm its installation prompt. If your download folder is elsewhere, open Terminal there instead of using cd ~/Downloads. 4. Launch and activate Open Lift Planner Pro from the applications menu. On the activation screen choose Import downloaded .lpplic file and select LPP-Raspberry-Pi-2026.lpplic. The licensed workspace opens after verification. Keep a backup of that file; do not share it. LIFT PLANNER PRO / DESKTOP 2026 First run and support Version 0.1.4 | ARM64 beta | Guide issued 1 October 2026 3 / 3 Practical checks, maintenance and common installation problems. Check the workspace before a large project Create a small local project. Draw and dimension a simple 2D shape, open a small 3D model, orbit and zoom, then save, close and reopen the project. Check that the scene and dimensions persist. Try a simple STEP import/export and check the result. Move to larger crane assemblies only after these checks succeed. The package provides the LPP 2D/3D workspace, native OCCT CAD engine, crane/equipment and rigging resources, lift-planning scenes and simulation workflows. Large assemblies use more memory and may respond slowly. Save regularly and use smaller scenes when needed. If something does not work Wrong architecture / Exec format error: check the two architecture commands on page 2. This package is ARM64 Linux; it is not a Windows, x64 or 32-bit installer. Missing dependencies: confirm the Pi is online, run sudo apt update, and repeat the apt install command. Use APT with the local .deb, not dpkg alone. Black or slow 3D view: use the current Pi desktop and graphics updates, reboot after OS updates, confirm adequate power/cooling, and start with a small model. Physical Pi GPU behaviour remains unverified for this beta. Activation or purchase problem: sign in with the purchasing account, refresh purchase status after payment, and download the personal .lpplic again. A cloud/course subscription is a separate entitlement. Contact support if a previous licence was refunded or revoked. No launch from the menu: run lift-planner-pro-desktop in Terminal and keep the error text for support. Do not run the application with sudo. Update, remove and keep your work Back up project files before updating or removing the software. Download a newer ARM64 .deb from the same official page and install it with sudo apt install ./ followed by its actual filename. To remove the application package: sudo apt remove lift-planner-pro-desktop This command removes the installed application. Keep your project backups and activation file. The bundled PDF and text guide are under /usr/share/doc/lift-planner-pro-desktop/ while the package is installed. Contact Lift Planner Pro liftplannerpro.co.uk/contact - include app version 0.1.4, Pi model/RAM, OS version, architecture output and the exact error.
