LPP Model Submission Standards

LPP-MSS-001 · Version 1.0 · 13 September 2026

1. Declare What You Are Selling

Identify the manufacturer, exact model and variant, package version, creator, tested LPP versions and intended use. List every included component and movement. Distinguish mesh, exact CAD, 2D drawing and reference imagery.

Declared model classRequired evidenceClaims not permitted
Visual / training modelAccurate screenshots, declared approximations and tested display performance.Factory accuracy, verified mass or rated capacity without evidence.
Dimensioned reference modelSource document, edition and page for each claimed dimension; source-versus-model comparison and known tolerances.Treating transport envelopes as pin centres or nominal lengths as measured geometry.
Rigged / parametric modelRepeatable movement and dimension tests, joint and rope review, supported configurations and parameter limits.Calling animation proof of safe operation or of a valid load chart.

These are declaration categories for review, not automatic verification badges. Unfinished calibration studies must be labelled as such; they must not be sold as fully verified manufacturer machines.

4. Rigging and Parametric Behaviour

SystemSubmission check
Slew and luffCorrect local pivot and axis; fixed chassis/carbody remains fixed; supported angular limits documented. Repeated travel must not accumulate drift.
Lattice or telescopic boomSeparate sections, correct order and overlap or pinned joints, bounded dimensions and explicit supported combinations. Do not stretch a manufactured insert to claim another section size.
Mast, pendants and cylindersPinned ends remain connected throughout the tested range. Cylinder engagement and stroke limits are checked. Pendant length does not change merely to hide a broken linkage.
Hoist, hook and reevingRope route identifies drum, guides, head sheaves, hook sheaves and termination. Part-of-line count matches the shown route. Hook payout, drum rotation and sheave alignment remain coherent; no rope through solid geometry.
Tracks, outriggers and matsSeparate stowed/deployed supports where claimed. Ground mats are separate from outrigger feet, with adjustable dimensions and stated assumptions. Geometry alone must not produce a certified bearing capacity.
Parametric partsUnits and ranges for every control; finite geometry at minimum, nominal and maximum values; mating points follow edits; copies remain independent; save/reopen preserves parameters and material choices.
Load and tackleActual contact/connection points, leg count, angles and any hitch represented correctly. Separate documented load, hook, rigging and beam weights. Manufacturer WLL/configuration evidence must match the exact equipment, not a visually similar item.

Record the exact tested poses. Test return to the starting pose, combined slew/luff/hoist, dimension changes and reopening. Where a manufacturer's document does not give a pin centre, tube profile or internal mechanism, mark it as a modelling assumption.

8. Review and Release Gate

Draft → Submitted → Review → Changes requested or Published. No publication merely because an upload succeeds.

GateEvidence the reviewer records
Package integrityExact version/hash, inventory, dependency checks and extraction/open results.
Visual and structural organisationActual model views, named/separable parts, units and known-dimension check.
Rig and parameter testsTest poses, ranges, attachment checks, reopened model and identified limitations.
Source traceabilityDocument register, dimensional comparisons, mass conditions and unresolved assumptions.
Rights and listingCommercial permission, buyer licence, accurate previews/claims and compatibility.
Release decisionReviewer, date, package revision, passed/failed items, feedback and final approval.

Request changes for missing dependencies, misleading accuracy/rating claims, broken attachments, geometry outside stated tolerances, unresolved rights or incomplete compatibility evidence. Re-review any package change. Keep the previous reviewed package and its evidence for traceability; do not quietly replace the files behind an existing version.
